How to deal with SMTP could not connect to the host?

If you ever receive an error message stating Could not connect to the host while trying to connect through SMTP settings, you need to check for the following details for getting a solution to the issue.

  • Check all the SMTP settings added by you while connecting with SalesHandy. You can refer here for popular SMTP settings.
  • Check with the port number provided by your Email Service provider and add the right one in the SMTP settings. Port Number usually changes with time.
  • Check with the system firewalls and DNS if it might be restricting SalesHandy's actions.
  • Check with your System admin or Email service provider to make sure SalesHandy is whitelisted in their domain.

If still, the connection is showing such errors, it is suggested to get in touch with your Email Service Provider's Support team.
